The urban areas in Addis Ababa exhibit a lack of environmental hygiene. This affects the biological environment and animals as well as human welfare. The study at hand identified behavioural factors which influence littering, reducing and separating household waste. Based on these factors, a behaviour change campaign was designed, aiming at increasing environmental hygiene.
