A new handwashing campaign in schools: funny and interactive

As part of their Covid-19 response, AAH Lebanon engaged in campaigns for Lebanese and Syrian children and their parents to enable the reopening of schools. The team collected handwashing data of 300 children and their parents in Beqaa and South.

Based on the findings from the baseline survey, AAH broadcasted a video featuring a physician who delivered messages about feelings and norms connected to handwashing with soap. The campaign for children included household visits, where the promoter played boardgames with the children and discussed a newly developed comic strip with them.
