Solidar Suisse team members become Ranas Experts!

After cyclones Idai and Eloise, Solidar Suisse assists rural communities in Búzi (Sofala Province) and Sussundenga (Manica Province) to rebuild their livelihoods. In terms of water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), the communities identified two main objectives: 1. Promote latrine use at household level and 2. Safe transportation and storage of drinking water.

Ranas trained two members of the Solidar Suisse team on all six phases of the RANAS approach to develop targeted behaviour change campaigns. The Mozambiquan team developed questionnaires, trained their team of enumerators, selected behaviour change techniques and developed comprehensive campaign activities based on their findings. The Ranas team accompanies all outcomes and provided training and feedback on each steps throughout the process.

The Solidar Suisse Ranas Experts are about to implement their next project with the support of the Ranas company on WASH behaviours in schools.
