In April 2017, Lebanon Red Cross volunteers ran the RANAS questionnaire about littering in Saida, Zahrani. The questionnaire focused mainly on disposing garbage safely in the distributed bins. The volunteers consulted 115 beneficiaries and helped to complete each questionnaire.
Results revealed that the benefit of disposing the garbage in a safe way, how people feel about garbage and their perception and confidence in performing the correct behaviour are the factors that had to be targeted. Based on these results, a self-monitoring sheet was developed for the inhabitants to guide them during a week about how they could dispose their garbage safely.
